The new deal will allow Sportradar to offer more than 900 matches each season

Sportradar, a leading sports technology company, has announced the extension of its exclusive betting data rights agreement with UEFA, European soccer’s governing body. The new multi-year deal will not only be extended but also expanded to include non-exclusive rights to distribute data to non-betting media.

Under the new agreement, Sportradar will gain access to certain advanced tracking. This additional data will significantly enhance Sportradar's AI products and services. By leveraging this information, the company can deliver more sophisticated technology solutions to its clients.

The deal covers all UEFA club and national team competitions. This includes Champions League, Super Cup, Europa League, Conference League, Women’s Champions League and Women’s Euro 2025 matches. It also extends to the European qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2028 as well as other competitions like Nations League or international friendly matches.

Co-Exclusive media rights with UEFA

In a significant development, UEFA has granted co-exclusive media rights to Sportradar for the first time. This new deal will see an increase of nearly 33% from the previous cycle. The surge in match offerings is partly due to new formats that will be introduced for UEFA club competitions at the start of the 2024-25 season.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA marketing director, said:

“Three years ago we embarked on a journey with Sportradar to tap into the value of match data for betting purposes. Sportradar brings to the table a wealth of experience in this field and we are delighted to be continuing this successful partnership for the next three years.”

Carsten Koerl, Sportradar chief executive, said:

“We are thrilled to expand our partnership with UEFA, offering our clients and soccer fans worldwide unparalleled engagement and value through cutting-edge solutions and comprehensive data coverage. This agreement supports our strategic focus on selectively investing in long-term rights across key global sports, enabling ongoing innovation and enhancement of our offerings.”

Strengthening integrity partnership

UEFA and Sportradar have enjoyed a long-standing integrity partnership spanning over fifteen years which they plan on extending further under this renewed agreement.

Further strengthening their long-standing relationship, UEFA and Sportradar are set to extend their integrity partnership which has been in place for over fifteen years. This collaboration plays a crucial role in supporting UEFA Anti Match-Fixing Unit by providing dedicated intelligence and investigation resources, bet monitoring services, and education services aimed at preventing, detecting, and investigating match-fixing activities. The renewed agreement underscores both parties' commitment towards maintaining integrity within sports.

This expanded deal between Sportradar and UEFA not only strengthens their existing partnership but also paves the way for innovative technology solutions in sports. It's a win-win situation for both parties involved, as well as for sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts who will benefit from increased access to data and enhanced viewing experiences.
