Anthony Joshua vs Jermaine Franklin will be the first PPV to broadcast on Virgin Media O2 after deal with DAZN

Virgin Media O2 and DAZN have come to an agreement to share some of DAZN's boxing PPV shows with the UK cable operator Virgin Media O2.

Viewers can enjoy DAZN's PPV on through add-on TiVo, V6, Virgin TV 360 or the Stream set-top-box for GBP 19.99. Additionally, the subscription includes access to DAZN's content for one month through any of the add-ons listed.

The first selected boxing event available for fans through this deal will be the upcoming awaited match between Anthony Joshua and Jermaine Franklin on 1st April 2023.

Speaking on this deal DAZN group CEO, Shay Segev said:

“DAZN is on a mission to bring top quality sport to as many fans as possible and become the world’s sports destination platform. With Virgin Media O2’s incredible scale and reach, DAZN will be in more UK living rooms and on more screens; and Virgin TV customers will have access to even more great sport. Starting our relationship with the Joshua versus Franklin fight is a real statement about the quality that DAZN will offer fans.”

David Boucher, Cheif TV and entertainment officer from Virgin Media O2 also reflected on deal and said:

“We’re always looking to offer our customers access to all the best sport and entertainment, and with the Joshua vs Franklin fight set to be a showstopper, there’s no better way to kick-off our partnership with DAZN so that Virgin TV customers can enjoy every bit of the action – with lots more to come in future.”

DAZN has not limited itself to boxing anymore

The DAZN network has been a major player in the world of boxing PPV shows since it was established, but they have diversified its content over the years.

UEFA Champions League, Professional Fighters League, Misfits boxing featuring YouTube stars KSI and Jake Paul, as well as the Indian Premier League, are now included in the DAZN's portfolio.

In the future, the deal is also expected to see DAZN's app running on Virgin Media's set-top boxes, which is likely to enable DAZN to reach an even larger audience with more viewers.
