Under the extended deal, Deltatre will use its unique technology to enhance Serie A's new website and digital ecosystem

Italian top-flight Serie A has announced an expanded partnership with sports technology and streaming graphic solutions firm, Deltatre. This new four-season agreement comes alongside the launch of a new direct-to-consumer website and app, marking a significant step forward in the digital evolution of Serie A.

Under the renewed agreement, Deltatre will utilize its proprietary technology to bolster the new website and amplify Serie A's digital ecosystem. This includes several key features. Firstly, Deltatre's 'Forge', a scalable content publishing and presentation platform, is the driving force behind the new website. Secondly, an advanced video player offering will be incorporated to enhance user experience. Lastly, an AI-powered search solution will be integrated into the system for optimized navigation and usability.

These tech solutions will cover not only Serie A but also its associated Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana knockout competitions, as well as youth-category Primavera Championship 1, Coppa Italia Primavera, and Supercoppa Primavera.

Benefits for member clubs

In addition to enhancing fan experience on a league-wide level, this partnership also introduces a 'Clubs program'. Under this initiative, each of the 20 member clubs can leverage Deltatre’s digital infrastructure to revamp their online presence.

Serie A chief executive, Luigi De Siervo, said:

“We sought a partner that could demonstrate both the capability and commitment to support our long-term technological evolution. Deltatre’s proven expertise in delivering complex digital environments, combined with their deep understanding of user engagement, made them the right choice as we continue to strengthen the connection between Serie A and our fans worldwide.”

Deltatre has been supporting Serie A since the 2024-25 campaign through various initiatives including IP-based graphics provision last season and launching the data hub this year. Peter Bellamy, Chief Revenue Officer at Deltatre emphasized that "scalability and monetization are at the core" of their offering.

In other news from Serie A's member clubs meeting was their endorsement of experienced businessman Giovanni Malago as their preferred candidate for president of Italy’s national governing body - FIGC (Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio). Of all teams participating in the vote, only Lazio and Hellas Verona abstained, but it is understood that they are not opposed to his selection. The election for the FIGC presidency will take place on June 22. Malago's most prominent supporters include Inter Milan chief Giuseppe Marotta. If elected, Malago will replace Garbiele Gravina who resigned after Italy’s third successive failure to qualify for the FIFA World Cup.

Malago is well-known in sports administration circles as he served as president of the Italian National Olympic Committee from 2013 to 2025 and was at the helm of Milano-Cortina's organizing committee for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games. These developments signal a new era for Serie A - one marked by digital innovation and potential leadership change at FIGC. As fans and sports betting enthusiasts alike navigate this evolving landscape, they can look forward to an enhanced online experience and potentially fresh governance perspectives.
