S4C unveils comprehensive coverage for Women’s Euro 2025 and Lions Men’s tour

The UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 in Switzerland is scheduled for next month

S4C, the Welsh public service broadcaster, has announced its plans to provide extensive coverage of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 and the Lions Men's Tour. The channel will broadcast all Wales matches in both tournaments, offering sports fans a front-row seat to these exciting events.

The UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 is set to take place in Switzerland next month. S4C will bring comprehensive coverage of the Wales team at this event with live broadcasts of all their matches.

On July 4th, an entire evening of programming will be dedicated to celebrating the success of the Wales women’s team. This special coverage aims to generate buzz and excitement ahead of their first game on July 5th.

AmdanHi campaign

This extensive coverage is part of S4C's AmdanHi campaign which supports the Wales women’s team while inspiring more women and girls to participate in sports. The campaign includes TV broadcasts, digital platforms content, and social media engagement.

Two special episodes titled 'Heno: Euro 2025' at 19:00 and 20:30 will kick off this action-packed evening. Presenters Angharad Mair and Llinos Lee will bring viewers a slice of action from Lucerne alongside Welsh fans as they anticipate the upcoming championship.

Additionally, Newyddion S4C -the channel's evening news programme- will broadcast an hour-long programme live from Lucerne at 19:30. At 21:00 viewers can revisit 'Yr Hawl i Chwarae' (The Right to Play), a documentary showcasing remarkable history about women’s football in Wales.

Lions Men's tour 2025

S4C will also broadcast the Qatar Airways British & Irish Lions Men’s Tour to Australia 2025. The coverage begins with exclusive free-to-air live coverage of the opening match in a historic co-production partnership with Irish television channel, TG4. This marks the first sports co-production between these two public service broadcasters. The opening match of the tour will take place at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on June 20th at 20:00, as the Lions face World Cup semi-finalists Argentina.

The game will be broadcast live and free-to-air exclusively on S4C in the UK and TG4 in Ireland, marking an exciting start to the Lions tour under Head Coach Andy Farrell. Sioned Dafydd will lead S4C’s coverage along with expert analysis from Gwennan Harries Owain Tudur Jones. Dylan Ebenezer and commentator Nic Parry complete S4C’s presenting team for Women's Euro while Sarra Elgan, Jamie Roberts, Dwayne Peel, Lauren Jenkins, Gareth Charles and Gwyn Jones form part of Lion's Tour team.

S4C is set to provide comprehensive coverage for both UEFA Women's Euro 2025 and Lion's Men Tour.
