Premier Sports, a renowned broadcaster, has recently announced the extension and expansion of its Copa Del Rey rights. This move signifies a significant step forward in the sports broadcasting industry, particularly for football enthusiasts in Ireland and the UK.

The broadcaster has secured the rights to air the Spanish cup football competition for three successive seasons. This is an upgrade from last season when Premier Sports first acquired these rights but only broadcasted the semi-finals and final matches.

Now, fans can look forward to watching matches from as early as the round of 32 onwards. This expanded coverage will undoubtedly enhance viewers' experience by providing them with more comprehensive access to one of Spain's most prestigious football tournaments.

Strong partnership with LaLiga

In addition to its extended Copa Del Rey coverage, Premier Sports continues to be a key player in broadcasting Spanish top-flight football. The company is also known as the main broadcaster of LaLiga and its second division in the UK.

Earlier this year, Premier Sports reaffirmed its commitment by signing a new three-year deal for these competitions. This agreement further solidifies their position as a leading platform for Spanish football content outside Spain.

Premier Sports CEO, Richard Sweeney, said:

“Securing coverage of the Copa del Rey further affirms Premier Sports as the home of Spanish football. Copa del Rey is an exciting tournament with incredible storylines showcasing the stars of Spanish football alongside an array of emerging young talents.”

Upcoming fixtures on Premier Sports

Football enthusiasts have a lot to look forward to with the upcoming fixtures scheduled to be broadcasted on Premier Sports this season. The line-up includes the match between CD Guadalajara and FC Barcelona, which will air at 8pm on 16 December on Premier Sports 1.

This will be followed by the game featuring CD Atlético Baleares against Atlético de Madrid at 6pm on Premier Sports 2. Rounding up this exciting schedule is the face-off between CF Talavera de la Reina and Real Madrid CF, set for an 8pm broadcast on Premier Sports 1 on December 17th. These fixtures mark an exciting start to what promises to be another thrilling season of Spanish cup football action available exclusively through Premier Sport's enhanced coverage.

This expansion not only strengthens Premiere Sport’s position in the sports broadcasting industry but also caters to the growing demand for comprehensive football coverage among sports fans and betting enthusiasts. This move is a testament to Premier Sports' commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging content that keeps its audience at the heart of all its decisions.
