Bandeirantes (Band) have won rights of Europa League for next three seasons

The UEFA Europa League, pan-European club soccer’s second-tier competition, has secured a new broadcasting partner in Brazil. Commercial broadcaster Bandeirantes (Band) will be airing action from the league for the next three seasons.

The deal was concluded on behalf of UEFA, European soccer's governing body, by LiveMode, a Brazilian sports marketing agency. This partnership will grant Band the rights to 17 Europa League games per season. For fans following in Brazilian time, these matches will take place on Thursday afternoons.

This agreement is a significant win for sports enthusiasts in Brazil as it ensures they won't miss out on any of the thrilling action from one of Europe's most prestigious football competitions.

Streaming platform for majority of games

While Band has secured rights to several games per season, most matches will be covered by CazeTV - a streaming platform managed by LiveMode on behalf of Casimiro Miguel. The CazeTV channel on YouTube will serve as the primary site through which Brazilians can view Europa League matches.

Brazilian fans can look forward to watching their first Europa League games this season starting September 26th. The grand finale is set for May 21st during the 2024-25 season.

Last year's edition saw Italy's Atalanta clinch victory with help from their Brazilian player Ederson. This year promises more exciting clashes with European heavyweights such as England's Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur and Italy's Roma and Lazio participating in the tournament.

Other major sports broadcasts In Brazil

In addition to Europa League coverage, top-tier UEFA Champions League matches are also available to viewers in Brazil through TNT Sports and SBT over the next three seasons. Band continues its trend of securing rights to major sports events. Recently, it aired the NBA basketball finals in June through a sub-licensing deal with rightsholder Amazon Prime Video.

The new broadcasting agreement between Band and UEFA is a significant development for Brazilian soccer fans. With access to both Europa League and Champions League matches, viewers can enjoy an immersive experience of European football from the comfort of their homes. The partnership also highlights the growing influence of streaming platforms like CazeTV in delivering live sports action to fans across Brazil.
