In December, LiveModeTV launched in Portugal and secured rights to broadcast 34 top matches from the 2026 FIFA World Cup for free on YouTube

Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has made a significant investment in the international business of Brazilian streaming enterprise, LiveModeTV. The exact figures have not been disclosed, but it is clear that this move marks another milestone in Ronaldo's illustrious career.

Ronaldo's acquisition of a "significant stake" in LiveMode’s global broadcast arm further cements his status as one of the most iconic players in soccer history. Currently playing with Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, Ronaldo has reportedly amassed personal wealth exceeding $1.4 billion.

The media company is best known for its affiliation with streamer Casemiro Miguel and his CazeTV broadcasting enterprise. This partnership has seen CazeTV grow into one of Brazil’s most prominent players within the sports broadcasting industry since its launch in 2022.

Expanding into Portugal and beyond

In December, LiveMode expanded into Portugal by launching a digital channel under the name LiveModeTV. The new venture secured rights to air 34 top matches from the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament across June and July on YouTube for free.

Ronaldo stated that this deal aims to "enrich the ecosystem, extending the reach and involvement of main competitions through broadcasts on YouTube and content distributed on all social media platforms for everyone."

CazeTV first launched in 2022 covering major events such as that year's World Cup, followed by coverage of other high-profile tournaments like the Women's World Cup 2023 and FIFA Club World Cup.

In recent years, CazeTV has made significant strides in acquiring broadcasting rights across a variety of sports. In 2025 alone, the company secured near-live and highlights rights for numerous top-tier South American soccer properties that extend through to 2026. Additionally, it obtained the rights to broadcast both the top-tier Copa Libertadores and second-tier Copa Sudamericana pan-continental club competitions. Expanding its soccer offerings further, CazeTV added Italy’s Serie A to its roster for the 2025-26 season and is set to include Germany's Bundesliga in its coverage from 2026-27 onwards.
