Manchester City are cruising towards clinching another Premier League title for their trophy cabinet. With 19 wins in 21 games, they have made a sensational comeback in the league.
Pep Guardiola's team has shown ruthlessness and professionalism in recent games, and against Fulham, they showed another complete performance.
When Manchester City defeated Arsenal in the previous game, fans expected them to continue in the same way. However, they adjusted their gears against Fulham based on the situation.
Fulham put City to an extreme test at Craven Cottage, but City citizens showed no signs of weakness. They took the lead early in the game when Erling Haaland scored his 50th goal of the season from the penalty spot.
Vinicius, however, scored Fulham's equalizer to bring the game back into its favour.
Julian Alvarez delivered a knockout blow in the 36th minute with an outrageous goal from outside of the box. Afterwards, City were tested toe-to-toe by Fulham but couldn't find any breakthrough.
While City's clinical performance was not a surprise to fans, Sky Sports' commentator Bill Leslie was deeply impressed with the manner in which they played
Bill Leslie praised the City's display, saying in the Sky Sports commentary box:
"City are master of this position in Premier League"
"They are master of Premier League and knows how to make came back"
"They have won 19 games in the last 21 games and know how to seal the Premier League in closing matches".
Manchester City are top of the table
As a result of their win against Fulham, City have climbed to the top of the table. Their performance at Craven Cottage was completely different from their runaway performance against Arsenal earlier this week.
Keeping this pace for six more games will be crucial for Manchester City to clinch their third Premier League title in a row. The success of City can be credited in part to Erling Haaland, who scored his 50th goal of the season against Fulham.
In upcoming weeks, Arsenal and Manchester City will have plenty to look forward to.
