All UCL matches from CBS Sports on Paramount+ will be accessible for streaming through the EverPass platform

Paramount, the US media giant, has announced a multi-year agreement with EverPass Media. This partnership will allow commercial businesses to stream European soccer's UEFA Champions League matches via the EverPass platform.

The collaboration between Paramount and EverPass marks a significant shift in sports broadcasting. It allows commercial establishments such as bars, restaurants, hotels, and gyms to stream all of CBS Sports’ UCL matches shown on Paramount+. The service begins today with the knockout play-off second legs.

This new distribution vehicle is particularly noteworthy as CBS Sports’ UCL matchups were previously unavailable for commercial venues in the United States. Now fans can enjoy these thrilling games at their favorite local establishments.

Highlighting local interest

There is considerable local interest surrounding AC Milan's tie against Feyenoord later today. US internationals Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah are representing the Italian giants who trail 1-0 from their first leg ahead of their return meeting at San Siro.

Alex Kaplan, CEO of EverPass Media, said:

“This partnership with CBS Sports reinforces our mission to bring the world’s most sought-after live sports to commercial establishments, ensuring bars and restaurants can provide unparalleled viewing experiences for their patrons.

“For the first time, businesses have a seamless way to showcase every UEFA Champions League match all season long – driving foot traffic and increasing engagement. This is another powerful step in redefining the way premium sports content reaches the commercial market, and we’re thrilled to partner with CBS Sports and Paramount+ to make it happen.”

Dan Weinberg, CBS Sports executive vice president of programming, said:

“Paramount+ is the streaming home to UEFA men’s club competitions and we are always looking for ways to broaden the distribution and increase awareness for Paramount+ as well as maximize the audience for our UEFA Champions League coverage.

“This partnership with EverPass unlocks a new viewership avenue and allows us to reach the many passionate fans watching out of home.”

Expanding live sports content library

The deal not only brings UCL matches to commercial venues but also expands EverPass' library of live sports content for businesses. It includes select CBS Sports ancillary UEFA programming like The Golazo Show - a whip-around highlights show that keeps fans updated on all key moments across different games. CBS Sports holds exclusive English-language rights for UCL in the US with all matches streaming on Paramount+. Select high-profile matches including semi-finals and finals also air on CBS Television Network under a six-year deal reportedly worth $1.5 billion running through 2029-30 season.

Launched in April 2023 as a joint venture between American football’s NFL investment arm and RedBird Capital Partners, EverPass aims to bring live sports and entertainment content to commercial establishments in the US. The platform recently partnered with Netflix to distribute the streaming giant’s debut coverage of NFL’s Christmas Day games.

This partnership between Paramount and EverPass is a game-changer for sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts. It not only enhances the viewing experience but also opens up new opportunities for businesses to attract customers. As live sports continue to be a major draw for patrons, this innovative approach could set a new standard in sports broadcasting.
