Alejandro Garnacho has been the star man for Manchester United in recent matches

Manchester United winger, Alejandro Garnacho, is making waves in the football world. Despite initial attitude issues and inconsistent team results, he has proven himself to be a valuable asset to the club. This article delves into his journey so far and how he has managed to overcome challenges.

Erik ten Hag, Manchester United's manager, revealed that Garnacho had some attitude problems at the start of his career at Old Trafford. However, he seems to have overcome these issues and is now delivering impressive performances for the team.

The 19-year-old faced criticism from both his manager and captain Bruno Fernandes for showing poor behaviour early on in his career. Reports claimed that he had been late for pre-season training twice last summer.

Erik ten Hag, Manchester United manager, said:

"There were some issues (with his attitude), but young players have to learn what is needed for the lifestyle of a professional footballer," United boss Ten Hag said ahead of Saturday's Premier League home game against Bournemouth.

"Our assessment at the start of the season was that we wanted to bring him in and wanted to give him the time to deliver what he's doing at the moment.

"There's big potential and a lot he can build on, but we are happy with his performances and his contribution. The base, the foundation is always the defending part, but now also attacking-wise he has the key actions - the assists, the goal threat, he scores goals, so that's of course very important for an offensive player."

Despite Manchester United's inconsistent results recently, Garnacho has stood out with remarkable performances. He started eight consecutive matches across all competitions just 15 months after making his full senior debut.

Garnacho’s tally of three goals this season - including a stunning overhead kick against Everton in the Premier League fixture- is only two shy of his total for the entire 2022/23 campaign. He also delivered an excellent assist for Scott McTominay's winning goal against Chelsea on Wednesday.

Erik ten Hag has also backed Rashford to return to his groove soon

Garnacho’s consistent run in the line-up comes amidst a poor form shown by several other players like Marcus Rashford who was dropped following a disappointing performance during last weekend's 1-0 defeat at Newcastle. Rashford struggled to replicate last term’s displays which saw him score 30 goals across all competitions.

Interestingly enough, before losing his place in the squad due to poor form, Rashford was moved to play on right wing allowing Garnacho to take up position on left wing – Rashford's favoured position.

Ten Hag expressed confidence in Rashford, stating that it is up to him to force his way back into the team. He also believes that the forward will return to his best form sooner rather than later.

Garnacho’s rise has been a silver lining for Manchester United amidst their current struggles. His impressive performances and ability to overcome initial attitude issues demonstrate a promising future for both him and the club. As he continues to grow as a player, sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts alike can look forward to more exciting matches from this rising star.
