Sportdigital set to exclusively air 15 matches from the remaining 51-game knockout tournament on its pay-TV channel, Sportdigital1+

German sports broadcaster, Sportdigital, has expanded its global soccer rights portfolio by acquiring the rights to broadcast North America's Concacaf Champions Cup. This move further solidifies the broadcaster's commitment to providing high-quality international football content.

Sportdigital will broadcast 15 games from the remainder of the 51-game knockout tournament exclusively on its pay-TV channel, Sportdigital1+. The coverage will kick off with two first knockout round games featuring Canada’s Vancouver Whitecaps of Major League Soccer and Costa Rica’s CS Cartaginés of Primera Division.

The match-up scheduled for February 19 and 26 is particularly noteworthy due to Thomas Müller's participation. Müller, a former Bayern Munich player and German national team icon, joined Vancouver Whitecaps in 2025.

Star-studded tournament lineup

Other notable participants in the tournament include former German national team player Marco Reus (LA Galaxy), German-born MLS star Hany Mukhtar (Nashville SC), Sebastian Schonlau (Vancouver Whitecaps), Erik Thommy (LA Galaxy), Son Heung-Min and Timothy Tillman (LAFC). All these players have previously played in Bundesliga adding more excitement to this continental club tournament.

The showpiece final of the Concacaf Champions League is set for May 30. This latest agreement adds another feather in Sportdigital's cap as it already holds broadcasting rights for Asia’s AFC Champions League Elite and South America’s Conmebol Copa Libertadores.

Bendix Eisermaann, managing director at Sportdigital said: “With the CONCACAF Champions Cup, we have added another premium right to our extensive international football portfolio." He also emphasized that this addition makes their platform even more attractive for viewers and platform partners alike.

Other prominent rights

Sportdigital holds rights to several other prominent soccer leagues, including the domestic top-flights of Brazil (Serie A), the Netherlands (Eredivisie), Saudi Arabia (Saudi Pro League), Poland (Ekstraklasa), and English women’s soccer (WSL).

The broadcaster also recently extended its deal to show Spain's Supercopa competition for another three seasons.  This new agreement with Concacaf is not the first time Sportdigital has collaborated with this body. The broadcaster aired the 2025 Gold Cup national team tournament, demonstrating an ongoing relationship between both parties.

Sportdigital Fussball provides 24/7 coverage and is widely available in the DACH region – through platforms such as Sky Deutschland, Vodafone, Magenta V, and Zattoo. This continued expansion of sports rights ensures that fans have access to a diverse range of international football content.
