Sky Sports has announced a series of enhancements to its Premier League coverage, including an increase in the number of games broadcasted and new features for viewers.
Sky Sports is set to broadcast at least 215 games per season, marking an increase of up to 100 from last season. This expansion comes as part of a new four-year rights cycle shared with TNT Sports.
A significant portion of the additional games will be covered on Sundays, potentially airing up to four matches simultaneously. Viewers can watch these individually or through the new Multiview programme that shows all games concurrently with dedicated commentary and half-time analysis.
New additions to presentation team
Mark Chapman joins David Jones and Kelly Cates as a regular presenter for Sky Sports’ Premier League coverage. He will also continue hosting Carabao Cup fixtures, which he has been doing since 2022.
The team of regular pundits includes Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Roy Keane, Daniel Sturridge, Izzy Christiansen, Micah Richards and Jamie Redknapp. They will be joined by additional guests throughout the campaign.
Commentators & Reporters Line-up:
- Commentators: Peter Drury, Rob Hawthorne, Seb Hutchinson and Bill Leslie.
- Co-commentators: Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, and Alan Smith.
- Reporters: Pat Davidson, Emma Saunders, Natalie Gedra Pien, Meulensteen, David Craig, Juliette Ferrington, Johnny Phillips
Sky Sports has partnered with Fanalysis - an app where fans can rate players' performances and give their verdicts on managers. The data collected from this app will be incorporated into broadcasts across Sky channels.
In addition to this partnership with Fanalysis is the introduction of vertical highlights added onto the Sky Sports app for enhanced viewer experience.
Updated programming schedule
There are also updates to the programming for Sky Sports News, including the newly announced Premier League Show hosted by Roman Kemp. The schedule includes:
- Sky Sports Breakfast: A morning show delivering latest headlines and breaking news.
- Sky Sports Fan Club: An interactive discussion show spotlighting supporter views and pundit opinions.
- The Premier League Show: A weekday magazine programme blending news, features and opinions.
Sky Glass and Sky Stream will now allow on-screen match reminders, team pages with all content related to that side, and the ability to start matches from the beginning if joining late or after they finish. These features will be added to Sky Q later in the season.
The enhanced coverage will be introduced by a new title track - a revamped version of G.O.A.T by Kasabian ft. Cristale. This track has been exclusively re-written and re-mixed for Sky Sports. With these enhancements, sports fans can look forward to an even more immersive viewing experience as they follow their favourite teams in action during this Premier League season.
