Starting from the 2025/26 season, Sky Sports will increase its live coverage from 128 to at least 215 Premier League matches

Sky Sports has secured a new four-year agreement for TV rights, which will see the broadcaster airing a record minimum of 215 Premier League matches per season starting from the 2025/26 season. This marks an increase of up to 100 more Premier League matches each season, making it an unprecedented move in sports broadcasting history.

From the commencement of the 2025/26 season, Sky Sports' exclusively live coverage will surge from its current broadcast of 128 Premier League matches to at least 215 games. This means that Sky Sports will be showcasing more Premier League action than any other broadcaster with at least four matches per week.

The package includes over 140 weekend games and evening matches on Fridays and Mondays. In addition, full coverage of three midweek match rounds is also part of this extensive deal.

Unprecedented coverage on final day

In another first-time move, Sky Sports will broadcast all ten Premier League matches on the final day of each season. This ensures that fans won't miss out on any potential title-deciding or relegation-battling fixtures during these crucial moments in football.

Dana Strong, Group CEO of Sky, said:

"This is a fantastic result for Sky customers, who will see a significant increase in the number of matches from the most iconic league in the world. Sky is the undisputed home for sport fans in the UK."

The new era under this agreement kicks off with an exciting opening weekend as Liverpool face Bournemouth on Friday August 15th live on Sky Sports. The opening weekend's coverage doesn't stop there; it also includes Wolves vs Man City followed by Super Sunday featuring Chelsea vs Crystal Palace and Manchester United vs Arsenal before Leeds take on Everton for Monday Night Football.

This new deal signifies a major shift in sports broadcasting, offering fans more access to live Premier League action than ever before. It also cements Sky Sports' position as the leading broadcaster for Premier League football, ensuring that sports fans and betting enthusiasts have an unrivalled source of live matches from the world's most iconic football league.
