Sky Sports continues partnership with Baller League UK for second season

Sky Sports and Baller League UK have announced the extension of their partnership into a second season of the six-a-side competition. This move ensures that Sky Sports and NOW will remain as the exclusive home on linear for this exciting football league.

The second season is set to commence on 27 October, with every match being broadcasted live from London’s Copper Box Arena on Sky Sports every Monday evening. In an effort to make the action more accessible to fans, watchalongs will be featured on select matchdays via the Sky Sports Football YouTube channel.

This new season brings fresh faces into play. Chloe Kelly's Clutch FC, Idris Elba's Rukkas FC, and Niko Omilana's NDL FC are all joining in on the competition. There will also be a new face managing Deportrio FC - former England striker and current Sky Sports expert Daniel Sturridge who will join Micah Richards at the helm. Returning figures include former players John Terry, Jens Lehmann, Robert Pires, Alan Shearer and Ian Wright who return to manage alongside Miniminter, Tobi Brown, Sharky, AngryGinge and Maya Jama. Alisha Lehmann from Como Women’s team also joins them in management roles.

Match schedule and format

Matches are scheduled to take place every Monday for eleven consecutive weeks. Following this regular season play period is a showdown between top four teams in league standings battling it out in semi-finals before proceeding onto finals where they'll vie for championship glory.

The first season concluded with Sharky’s SDS FC lifting up trophy after securing a thrilling 4-3 victory over MVPs United in final match-up.
