RTL reportedly edged out DAZN in the race
The RTL network will remain the home of the Europa League and UEFA Conference League in Germany until the season 2026/27. It has been confirmed that the German broadcasters have renewed their exclusivity contract, which will come into effect starting with the seasons 2024/25.
The RTL network has been home to the Europa League and UEFA Conference League since the 2021 season when they signed a three-year exclusive contract.
Also, the renewal makes it clear that DAZN will remain only a Champions League broadcaster in spite of heavily rumoured reports that the company was very interested in getting the rights for all European football in Germany.
UEFA has invested a lot of money into the Europa League and Conference League recently, and the increased level of competitiveness on the field has largely contributed to the increased stakes of competition in the media world as well.
Matches will continue to be broadcast on the RTL channel, Nitro, as well as on TV now for digital streaming.
