Infront Productions will offer various tech services for over 300 matches on the FIFA+ platform as part of the deal

In a significant development in the world of sports, international sports marketing agency Infront has expanded its relationship with soccer’s global governing body, FIFA. This expansion comes in the form of an agreement to service the FIFA+ streaming platform through Infront's production arm, Infront Productions.

The deal entails that Infront Productions will provide several technology services for over 300 matches on the FIFA+ platform. These include satellite downlinking, multi-lingual commentary services and SRT (secure reliable transport) distribution.

This collaboration extends to various football events such as 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification matches, age-grade tournaments, and global competitions in both Futsal and Beach Soccer among others.

Selection process and agreement details

In a competitive tender process, Infront emerged as the chosen one for this partnership. The agreement covers several aspects including management of signal ingest via satellite, SRT and bonded cellular technology, commentary in multiple languages including English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish and distribution to both the FIFA+ platform and third-parties.

In addition to these responsibilities, Infront Productions will also oversee production workflows. Their facilities located in Milan - particularly their Master Control Room (MCR) - are set to play a pivotal role in delivering reliable and high-quality match feeds.

Moreover, sourcing and managing commentators across all required languages falls under their purview. They will utilize both cloud-based remote platforms along with their own facilities for recording live commentary into match feeds. The first matches under this new collaboration took place recently with the 2026 World Cup qualifiers marking a successful start.

Strengthened ties between parties

This deal further solidifies ties between Infront and FIFA after Host Broadcast Services - an entity owned by Infront - was confirmed as the host broadcaster for the 2026 World Cup.

Alessandro Lonati, director of Infront Productions Italy, said:

“This collaboration reinforces our expertise in broadcast production and content at the highest level of sport. The project will be run through our facilities in Milan and its MCR, leveraging our extensive experience in delivering complex live sports productions and supporting some of the world’s biggest events.

“It comes at a time of significant investment in our production centre as we welcome new clients, including FIFA+, to our portfolio. We look forward to supporting them in bringing these matches to audiences worldwide with precision and efficiency.”

This partnership between Infront and FIFA is a significant step forward in enhancing the viewing experience for sports fans worldwide. It promises to deliver high-quality, multi-lingual coverage of various football events on the FIFA+ platform, thereby catering to a global audience of sports and sports betting fans.
