Arsenal striker, Gabriel Jesus, is reportedly seeking more playing time and has been linked with a move to Milan in the January transfer window. According to Italian sports newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport, Milan is among the clubs interested in acquiring the services of the Brazilian striker.
The Rossoneri are on the hunt for a new centre-forward next month. Several potential targets have already been mentioned by Italian media, including Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee, West Ham’s Niclas Füllkrug and Sassuolo’s Andrea Pinamonti. However, Gabriel Jesus has emerged as one of their latest interests. Despite their interest in bolstering their attacking options, Milan's owners are reportedly reluctant to make significant financial investments this January window. However, potential departures from Santiago Gimenez and Ruben Loftus-Cheek could provide additional funds for purchasing a new attacker.
Football Italia reports that Gimenez currently does not intend to leave during this winter transfer window. If circumstances change though, Gabriel Jesus would be one of Milan's top targets according to Corriere dello Sport.
Gabriel Jesus' career aspirations
Gabriel Jesus recently returned from an injury and is eager for consistent playtime during the second half of this season - something he might not receive at Arsenal due to Mikel Arteta’s numerous options in attack. The 28-year-old also harbors ambitions of returning to Brazil's national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup which further fuels his desire for more playing time next month.
Accordingly, if he were to move in January until season end he would earn just above €3m. It should be noted that his contract with Arsenal runs until June 2027.
This potential move would be an interesting development for both Arsenal and Milan, as well as for sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts who closely follow these teams.
