The draw for the most glorious prize in European football was made a couple of weeks ago

The UEFA Champions League is one of the most prestigious tournaments in global football, and the 2025-26 season is shaping up to be the most exciting edition yet. With so many powerful contenders to win the trophy, fans everywhere are looking for the best sportsbook promos to get in on the action.

The teams now know who they will face in the eight-match league phase, with some huge clashes already set up to get football fans around the world excited. PSG will meet Barcelona, Real Madrid will face Man City and Liverpool, and Bayern Munich will play Chelsea. Anticipation is off the charts.

The UEFA Champions League is always an extremely tightly contested competition as it pits Europe's elite clubs against one another, but this season that seems to be the case more than ever. So, how can we predict who will win the UCL when the dust has settled?

The bookies have had a go. Here's what they have come up with:

Liverpool (6/1 joint-favourites)

Liverpool and Barcelona are currently joint favourites to win the Champions League, both with odds of 6/1.

After a triumphant Premier League-winning season, Liverpool's aggressive summer transfer activity signals its intent to excel in England and Europe. Arne Slot clearly hopes to build on what they did last season. To do so, the club have spent a remarkable amount of money to bring in a raft of world-class names, including Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak.

Despite a challenging tie in the round of 16 last season, Liverpool managed to push eventual winners PSG to penalties. With an enhanced squad, Liverpool have to be considered strong contenders to reach the final and win the whole thing this time round. If they meet PSG along the way again, they will do so with a far deeper and more talented squad than last year.

Barcelona (6/1 joint-favourites)

Joining Liverpool at the top of the tree are LaLiga champions Barcelona. The Catalan giants won their domestic title last season in stunning fashion, with the likes of Raphinha and Lamine Yamal putting in Balon d'Or contender performances across the campaign. They will hope they can go one further this year and win the UCL to complete their rejuvenation under Hansi Flick.

The Blaugrana completed a famous domestic treble last season but fell short in the semi-finals of this competition against Inter. Despite off-pitch issues limiting their summer transfers, as has been the case for the past few years, Barcelona's squad boasts plenty of young talent capable of causing any team problems, making them a formidable opponent.

Paris Saint-Germain (13/2)

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) started their European campaign slowly in the league phase last season but grew into the competition, building momentum with each round. Luis Enrique's side did ride their luck against Liverpool and Aston Villa during the knockout phase, but in the end, they won the competition, something they had never been able to achieve before.

The French club may not have spent wildly in the summer transfer market, but Enrique will be confident in the squad he has, and confident that his players can do something extremely difficult - retain the Champions League. While they are not considered favourites by the bookies, the holders must be right up there in the conversation.

Arsenal (7/1)

Having reached the semi-finals last season, the bookies have Arsenal at 7/1 to make it those two huge steps further to win the UEFA Champions League.

There is a sense of disappointment at the Emirates around consistent second-placed finishes in the Premier League and a lack of trophies during Mikel Arteta's reign. Many are calling this season his final chance, his "now or never" moment. His team are among the four favourites to win Europe's top prize, and if they do, he will surely go down as one of their best managers of all time.

Notable Contenders

Real Madrid, known for their Champions League victories, are looking to bounce back after a disappointing quarter-final exit last season. With some new players in their ranks and exciting young coach Xabi Alonso at the helm, the record 15-time European champions will always be in the mix to win this competition.

Bayern Munich, despite not winning the Champions League since 2020, are also always in the conversation. Their consistent performances over the past 14 seasons, coupled with their recent acquisition of Luis Diaz, make them a team to watch.

Manchester City's poor start to the new Premier League season raises questions about their potential in the Champions League, especially after the somewhat nightmarish campaign they endured last time out. However, Pep Guardiola's ability to turn around their form in the second half of last season suggests they could be about to rediscover their form. If they do, every team in Europe will be on notice.

The 2025-26 UEFA Champions League promises to be a thrilling contest with several strong contenders. Whether it's the favourites like Liverpool and Barcelona, defending champions PSG, or dark horses like Manchester City, the tournament is sure to keep football fans on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
