Aston Villa, Stoke & Wolves join Sport Social Podcast Network

Aston Villa’s podcast will be hosted by Alan McInally and Kate Tracey

Premier League clubs Aston Villa and Wolves, along with Championship club Stoke City, have recently joined the Sport Social Podcast Network. This move signifies a new era of fan engagement for these clubs as they launch their respective podcasts.

Aston Villa is set to launch "The Official Aston Villa Podcast" on 6th September. The podcast will be hosted by former player and Sky Sports pundit Alan McInally and presenter Kate Tracey.

Key features of the podcast include, interviews with players, coaches, and club legends, insights into the club's strategies and game plans and exclusive reactions from new signings. The first episode will feature summer signing Amadou Onana reacting to the club’s Champions League draw.

Wolves expand collaboration with Sport Social Podcast Network

Wolves had previously collaborated with the Sport Social Podcast Network for its production of short-form news update "Wolves Express". Now, they are expanding this collaboration by relaunching "Wolves Weekly" as "The Official Wolves Podcast".

Launched on 15th August, it is hosted by match-day commentator Mikey Burrows who is a fan favourite. The podcast promises in-depth discussions about team strategies and debates about team performance.

The official Stoke City Podcast

Stoke City launched its official podcast named "Potters’ Pod: The Official Stoke City Podcast" at the beginning of August. Hosted by presenter Rob Adcock alongside former Stoke player Chris Iwelumo, this podcast aims to bring fans closer to their favourite team through long-form interviews with first-team players.

The first episode features recent signing Viktor Johansson sharing his experiences joining Stoke City FC. Thomas Holdcroft, head of marketing and communications at Stoke City FC expressed excitement over this initiative that brings fans closer to their favourite teams through these podcasts.
