Sport 24 pick up in-flight media rights to UEFA EURO 2024

Fans again can enjoy their football action on Sport 24 during flights

Sport 24, the in-flight and on-ship entertainment service owned by international sports agency IMG, has renewed its deal with UEFA. The agreement covers the men's 2024 European Championships national team tournament.

The IMG-run service will broadcast over Euro 2024 fifty matches from this summer's tournament. This coverage includes games from the additional Sport 24 Extra channel. The tournament, featuring twenty-four teams, will be held in Germany between June 14 and July 14 this year.

This renewal signifies a continuation of Sport 24’s previous rights for the Euros in both the years of 2016 and also in 2021.

Sport 24 working on expanding football rights portfolio

The new deal is another addition to Sport's existing soccer rights portfolio. Currently, it includes: English Premier League, UEFA’s Champions League top-tier club tournament, Competitions organized by Asian Football Confederation and FIFA Women’s World Cup matches mid-2023 showcase.

These additions further solidify Sport's position as a leading broadcaster for major soccer events.

In addition to soccer, Sport also covers other sports such as motor racing’s Formula One (F1), ice hockey’s National Hockey League (NHL), and UK tennis’ Wimbledon among others. This diverse range of coverage ensures that fans across different sports can enjoy their favorite games while traveling.

CAA Eleven agency again moderator behind UEFA for deals

CAA Eleven agency is UEFA’s partner responsible for selling national team event rights which include these broadcasting deals with services like Sports24.

The opening match of the Euros will see hosts' Germany match against Scotland at Munich's Allianz Arena. The final match will take place at Berlin's Olympic Stadium marking an exciting end to what promises to be a thrilling championship.

This renewal marks another milestone for both Sports24 and UEFA. It ensures that sports fans, especially those of soccer, can enjoy comprehensive coverage of the Euro 2024 tournament while on the move.
