Bosses at Sky have revealed some of the new innovations that it will be using during its coverage of the men’s and women’s Ashes this summer

Sky Sports is set to provide unparalleled coverage of the men’s and women’s Ashes this summer, using cutting-edge technology to deliver an immersive viewing experience for cricket fans around the world.

From player tracking tech to drone cams and on-screen graphics, Sky Sports is pulling out all the stops in its mission to become the go-to broadcaster for cricket fans.

Sky Sports Head of Cricket and NFL, Bryan Henderson, told Broadcast Sport that Sky Sports will aim to be “Albert-certified carbon neutral” during both series, showing a commitment not only to providing quality coverage but also reducing carbon emissions where possible.

In addition, Sky Sports will be promoting women in its broadcast tech teams.

One major innovation being implemented by Sky Sports is Quidich Innovations’ HyperView player tracking tech.

Using cameras mounted on floodlight pylons at each ground, this system tracks fielder movements for analysis and even allows viewers to see the field from the perspective of the batter.

This provides a unique insight into how players react in real-time situations.

CricViz is also bringing enhanced stats into play throughout both men's and women's series; these include showing which team is ‘in front’ during each moment of play using a unique algorithm designed specifically for cricket betting markets as well as Hawkeye data.

Special Cameras to be used during the Lords Test

Remote cameras will track players through Lords Pavilion & Long Room while Spidercams offer viewers birds-eye views during games - especially useful when trying to keep track of everything happening on-field with new batsmen entering or leaving the crease frequently!

Drone cams flown through Lords Pavilion add another dimension as military pilots take charge behind the scenes capturing stunning footage from above making sure no corner goes unnoticed!

Furthermore, AE Live has created an entirely new suite of on-screen graphics that give viewers more options than ever before when it comes down keeping up with what's happening live – whether it’s scores or statistical information about individual players or teams!

All grounds hosting both men's & women's Ashes matches feature buggy cams. These will track the action from behind the scenes and provide additional footage to supplement what’s being transmitted live.

Finally, for added analysis and presentation options, there will be Sky Cart for pitchside presentations along with Sky Zone net presentation area where commentators such as Michael Atherton, Nasser Hussain, and Isa Guha can give masterclasses. Overall it's an incredible line-up of technology that fans are sure to love!

In conclusion, Sky Sports has set a new standard for sports broadcasting with its innovative approach to covering both men's & women's Ashes this year.

With cutting-edge player tracking tech, drone cams flown through Lords Pavilion providing bird eye views of cricket action on field along with buggy cams at all grounds - it seems like there won't be any stone left unturned when it comes down delivering quality coverage!
