Despite declining a past offer from Oldham for unknown reasons, Scholes hasn't received many other proposals

Former Manchester United midfielder, Paul Scholes, has hinted at a potential return to coaching if the right opportunity presents itself. Currently working as a TV pundit, Scholes admits he would consider a hands-on role within the game that "rocked his boat".

Scholes is no stranger to coaching roles. He has previously coached at Manchester United and Salford City. The 40-year-old also owns 50 per cent of the Evo-Stik League Northern Premier side along with fellow former United players Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt and Phil and Gary Neville.

Potential return to coaching

Speaking at the launch of new BBC documentary Class of '92, Scholes revealed his openness towards returning to coaching. However, he emphasized that it would have to be an opportunity that truly excited him.

Paul Scholes, Manchester United legend, said:

“Yeah, I didn’t do a lot [at Salford] but I enjoy it. It’s the thing I miss about football, I suppose, being with the team, day-in day-out, getting a team ready for a Saturday afternoon or getting yourself ready for a Saturday afternoon, it’s the most difficult part.

“If there was something leading that I fancied and I was interested in and it rocked my boat then …”

Despite rejecting an offer from Oldham in the past due to undisclosed reasons, there haven't been many other offers on his table. Yet this hasn't deterred him from considering future possibilities.

Paul Scholes added:

“I had the one with Oldham that was difficult to turn down but maybe in the future it might be something – but it’s definitely something I’d like to do in the future. I don’t care about people’s [relative lack of] ability and I don’t think I’d get frustrated. It depends what level you’re at. If you’re coaching or managing at Premier League level you have players who can do that anywhere, or at least you should have.”

Waiting game for Scholes?

It seems like it's a waiting game for Paul Scholes when it comes down to returning back into coaching. With his vast experience both on and off-field in footballing world, any club would be lucky enough having him onboard their team management.

The sports fans and sports betting fans will surely keep an eye out for any developments regarding this matter as it could potentially influence team performances and consequently betting odds too!

While there are no concrete plans yet for Paul Schole's return into coaching field just yet - one thing is clear: If something does come up which "rocks his boat", we might see this legendary player back in action but this time from sidelines!
