Zirkzee now wishes to leave Manchester United and return to Juventus where he hopes to reunite with former manager Thiago Motta. Under Motta at Bologna last season, Zirkzee had an impressive run scoring 12 goals in 37 games which helped qualify the club for Champions League play.
However whether Juventus would agree on signing him back remains uncertain; they are likely interested but prefer a loan deal rather than outright purchase.
Manchester United might not easily agree as they would ideally prefer selling him off to recover some of their investment.

The current Manchester United squad is in a phase of adaptation, trying to understand and implement Amorim's playing style.
