In his recent controversial interview, Salah stated he felt sidelined and had no rapport with Arne Slot

In a recent turn of events, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has expressed his disapproval of Mohamed Salah's post-match comments following Saturday’s draw at Leeds. The football world was taken aback when Carragher labeled these remarks as "a disgrace," raising questions about the Egyptian superstar's future with the club.

Salah, in his explosive interview, claimed that he had been "thrown under a bus" and revealed that he had no relationship with head coach Arne Slot. This came after being left on the bench for three consecutive games. In response to these comments, Liverpool decided to withdraw him from the squad for Tuesday’s Champions League trip to Inter Milan.

Carragher did not hold back in expressing his disappointment over Salah's remarks during Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football. He stated, “I thought it was a disgrace what he did after the game."

Jamie Carragher, Liverpool legend, said:

“Some people have painted it as an emotional outburst – I don’t think it was. I think whenever Mo Salah stops in a mixed zone, which he has done four times in eight years at Liverpool, it’s choreographed with his agent to cause maximum damage and strengthen his own position.

“He’s chosen this weekend to do this now, and he’s waited I think for a bad result… everyone involved with the club (feeling) like they’re in the gutter, and he’s chosen that time to go for the manager and maybe try to get him sacked.”

Uncertainty over Salah’s future at Liverpool

Adding fuel to fire, Salah himself hinted that he might have played his last game for Liverpool as he prepares to jet off to participate in the African Cup of Nations following Liverpool’s clash with Brighton at Anfield next Saturday. This statement has led fans and sports pundits alike wondering whether this is indeed an end of an era for Mo Salah at Liverpool.

Jamie Carragher added:

“What he’s done off the pitch, I think the club have made the right decision in terms of him not going abroad. Whether he will play for Liverpool again, I don’t know. I hope he does, because he’s one of the greatest players we’ve ever had, but if you continue like that, and statements like that, if he doesn’t play, who knows.”

The recent controversy surrounding Mo Salah's comments and subsequent actions has stirred the sports world, particularly among Liverpool fans and sports betting enthusiasts. The situation is a stark reminder of how delicate player-club relationships can be in professional football. As we await further developments, it remains to be seen how this saga will impact both Salah's career and Liverpool's future performances.
