Under this agreement, Fox will continue airing the Concacaf Champions Cup and other regional tournaments until 2030

Fox, the US media giant's Latin American arm, has announced a four-year renewal of its broadcast partnership with North American soccer governing body Concacaf in Mexico. This move ensures that Fox retains media rights to top regional competitions.

Through this agreement, Fox channels will continue to broadcast the prestigious Concacaf Champions Cup and other regional competitions such as the Central American Cup and Caribbean Cup through the 2030 campaign.

The coverage will be disseminated across various platforms including Fox’s linear pay-TV networks, the Fox+ bundle offering, as well as the newly launched (2025) OTT streaming service - Fox One.

Mexican teams' dominance in Concacaf Champions Cup

The current season (2026) saw six Mexican Liga MX clubs qualify for the men's Concacaf Champions Cup. A similar number is expected to gain access each year. The tournament was established in 1962 and underwent several format changes until it was retitled "Concacaf Champions League" in 2008. It returned to its original name "Concacaf Champions Cup" ahead of its 2024 edition.

Since then, Mexican clubs have dominated this tournament with Pachuca winning it in 2024 and Cruz Azul taking home the trophy in 2025. Historically too, Mexican sides have been dominant forces having won a whopping total of forty out of sixty editions since inception. This renewed partnership complements Fox’s extensive suite of sports rights within Mexico which includes over two thousand events annually along with original productions like ancillary programming and shoulder content around these rights.

Fox's impressive portfolio includes broadcasting rights for soccer from Mexico’s top-flight Liga MX, England’s Premier League, UEFA Champions League spanning Europe-wide clubs; France’s Ligue1, and more. It also covers women’s soccer from Mexico’s Liga MX Femenil, England’s Women’s Super League, France’s Premiere Ligue, and Italy’s Serie A Femminile.

Fox's diverse sports coverage

Apart from soccer, Fox holds the rights for baseball leagues such as Liga Mexicana de Beisbol and Liga Mexicana del Pacifico. Motorsports series like the World Rally Championship, Formula E, World Endurance Championship, Extreme H and Nascar Mexico Series are also part of their portfolio. Other niche offerings include American football's UFL and padel's Pro Padel League.

Concacaf general secretary, Philippe Moggio, said:

“The extension of our partnership with Fox reaffirms the strength of Concacaf’s club ecosystem and the value of having a strategic partner with extensive experience in the Mexican market.

“The Concacaf Champions Cup represents the highest expression of club football in our Confederation, while the Concacaf Central American Cup and the Concacaf Caribbean Cup are fundamental pillars of the development of our club football, and the pathway to the Champions Cup. Through Fox, we have a powerful platform to showcase our clubs on the global stage and bring these competitions closer to millions of fans throughout Mexico.”

This renewal of partnership with Concacaf further strengthens Fox's position as a regional media heavyweight in Mexico while ensuring continued coverage of top regional soccer competitions for its audience.
