FanCode, a leading sports platform in India, has secured exclusive streaming rights for several Asian Football Confederation (AFC) competitions for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons. The rights were obtained through a sub-licensing agreement with Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), the entity that holds the media rights for AFC competitions in India.
The AFC, which oversees football in Asia, is known for organizing some of the world's most esteemed football tournaments. These include the AFC Champions League, the top-tier club competition in Asia.
This new agreement will provide Indian football enthusiasts with the chance to watch high-quality Asian football, featuring global football stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, and Karim Benzema.
The partnership encompasses several AFC tournaments, including the AFC Champions League, the AFC Cup for the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons, the AFC U23 Asian Cup, the AFC U20 Women's Asian Cup 2024, the AFC U17 Women's Asian Cup 2024, the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2024, and more.
Mumbai City FC, a club based in India, will be participating in this year's AFC Champions League. They have been placed in Group D, which also includes Neymar's Al-Hilal from Saudi Arabia, FC Nassaji Mazandaran from Iran, and PFC Navbahor Namangan from Uzbekistan. Additionally, Odisha FC and Mohun Bagan Super Giant are set to compete in the AFC Cup.
