Canadian Soccer Business (CSB), the commercial arm of Canada's soccer governing body, has secured broadcast rights for Germany's top-tier Bundesliga competition. The rights have been licensed to its OneSoccer streaming platform, making it the official broadcast partner of Bundesliga in the Canadian market.

The non-exclusive rights acquired by CSB will kick off with coverage starting from the November 21 game between Mainz and Hoffenheim. This move is set to bring a new wave of excitement among sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts alike.

One key aspect of this agreement is its focus on Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies, who also captains the Canadian national team. The deal aims to galvanize interest in national team players ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026, which Canada will co-host.

Comprehensive coverage

Under this agreement, every single Bayern Munich game will be available both live and on-demand through OneSoccer. In addition to regular season games, viewers can also look forward to coverage of special events such as season-opening German Super Cup competition and season-ending relegation playoffs.

This comprehensive coverage ensures that fans won't miss a moment of their favorite team's action throughout the year. OneSoccer, a prominent platform for soccer fans across Canada, holds significant broadcasting rights to several major competitions. These include the Concacaf Champions Cup international club competition, the top-flight Canadian Premier League, and the annual Canadian Championship tournament which features teams from Major League Soccer's Canadian contingent.

In addition to these league and tournament broadcasts, OneSoccer also provides coverage of games from both Canada’s men’s and women’s national teams as well as extensive action from the Concacaf Nations League competition.

Strengthening Bundesliga presence in North America

For Bundesliga, this deal serves as an expansion strategy into North America - a target market for the league. This partnership with OneSoccer will not only increase Bundesliga's visibility in Canada but also strengthen its foothold in North America.

CSB chief executive, James Johnson said:

“This partnership with the Bundesliga goes beyond broadcast rights — it’s about connecting Canadians to the global game. The Bundesliga stands among the world’s best, and Alphonso Davies embodies what’s possible for Canadian players on that stage. By teaming up with OneSoccer, we’re giving fans the chance to follow his journey every week and experience world-class soccer more closely than ever before. Canadian fans deserve access to the world’s game, and this partnership is another step toward making top-tier soccer more visible and available across the country.”

This new partnership between CSB and Bundesliga is a significant step forward for Canadian soccer fans. It promises to bring more exciting games and comprehensive coverage to viewers, thereby enhancing the overall soccer viewing experience in Canada.
