Chelsea Football Club is reportedly in talks with Ajax over a potential move for centre-back Jorrel Hato, while simultaneously expressing interest in RB Leipzig forward Xavi Simons. This news comes as the Blues look to bolster their squad with fresh talent ahead of the upcoming season.
Jorrel Hato, a 19-year-old Ajax defender, has caught the attention of many European clubs after an impressive campaign in Eredivisie. With 31 appearances under his belt this season, he has emerged as one of Europe's most promising young defenders.
BBC Sport reports that Chelsea is currently communicating directly with both Ajax and Hato's representatives to explore the possibility of a summer transfer. However, these discussions are still at an early stage and no agreement has been reached yet.
Creative force Chelsea needs?
In addition to their interest in Hato, Chelsea is also pursuing RB Leipzig forward Xavi Simons. The 22-year-old Netherlands international could potentially add more creativity and attacking flair to Stamford Bridge.
Negotiations are underway regarding personal terms with Simons who seems open to making a move to London. While RB Leipzig is aware of Chelsea's approach towards their player, there hasn't been any formal agreement yet.

Bayern Munich have shown interest in acquiring Simons but seem more focused on Liverpool winger Luis Diaz at present. On the other hand, Arsenal have been made aware of Simon’s situation as they consider potential additions for their summer lineup.
