Prediction: 0-4
Tip: Result - Tottenham | Both Teams To Score - No
Key Points:
1. Spurs are unbeaten in three since Antonio Conte took over.
2. Mura have lost all four of their Europa Conference League matches.
3. Spurs haven't conceded in either of their last two away matches.
Slovenian PrvaLiga Champions NS Mura come into their clash with Tottenham Hotspur tonight fifth in the league and eleven points off the top spot after a poor run of domestic form. The hosts are winless in six in all competitions including three PrvaLiga games, two Conference League defeats to Rennes and a quarter final domestic cup exit. They've scored five goals during those six encounters. It's been a torrid time for the title holders.
New Spurs coach Antonio Conte will expect a comprehensive win over the Slovenian minnows tonight as he takes charge of his fourth game. Since his appointment they've beaten Vitesse 3-2 in the Conference League, ground out a 0-0 away draw at Everton and come back from a goal down to beat Leeds 2-1. The Italian will likely use tonight's clash to focus on implementing his defensive structure and give fringe players a chance to impress.
While Mura are rock bottom of the group on zero points with just two goals scored, Spurs are in a three way battle with Vitesse and Rennes over the two qualifying spots. They are currently in second three points behind Rennes who they will need to leapfrog if they hope to finish first and move into the last 16. Runners-up in the group stage face an extra preliminary knockout round against a team who finished third in their Europa League group, before they can advance to the last 16.
Conte will be looking for several things: a high scoring win to increase their goal difference and help with their chances of winning the group, a clean sheet, and some good performances from youngsters and reserves in a much changed lineup. We think he'll get all of those tonight against a woeful Mura side who should present little to no problems at either end of the pitch.
We're going for a 4-0 away win for Tottenham.
