Three interests have been expressed in taking over Spurs' ownership since Levy's resignation as chairman

Tottenham Hotspur, one of the most popular football clubs in England, has recently received a significant financial boost. The club's majority owners have injected £100m of new capital into the club, aiming to strengthen its financial position and drive long-term sporting success.

The investment group Enic, managed by the Lewis Family Trust, owns an impressive 86.58% of Spurs. The remaining 13.42% is owned by a group of minority investors. Former chairman Daniel Levy owns nearly a third (29.88%) of Enic but stepped down from his direct involvement with the club in September.

Previously owned by British businessman Joe Lewis, Enic saw a change in ownership in 2022 when it was handed over to the Lewis Family Trust.

Role of the Lewis family

The Lewis family has been instrumental in bringing about significant hierarchical changes at Tottenham over recent months. Their additional capital injection is seen as part of their ongoing commitment to supporting and shaping the future direction of the club.

A source close to the family stated: "This is initial additional funding. As the club's management decides what's needed to deliver success, more money will be available." This statement underscores that this recent investment isn't just a one-off; instead, it signifies an ongoing commitment from this influential family towards backing Spurs' success.

Interest in club ownership

Since Levy stepped down as chairman there have been three expressions of interest made about taking over Spurs' ownership - demonstrating its appeal and potential for growth within sports circles globally. Most recently American tech entrepreneur Brooklyn Earick showed interest but ruled out making a formal takeover bid after Tottenham insisted that they were not up for sale.

This substantial capital injection into Tottenham Hotspur comes at an opportune time for both sports fans and sports betting fans. It promises to strengthen the club's financial position, provide additional resources for driving long-term sporting success, and reaffirms the commitment of its majority owners towards ensuring a bright future for the club.

The move also sends a strong message to potential investors about Spurs' stability and growth potential, making it an exciting time for all those associated with this iconic football club.
