Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has confirmed his plans for the 2024/25 season amidst a series of managerial departures. The 53-year-old could become the first manager to win four consecutive Premier League titles this weekend if Manchester City secures a victory over West Ham United on Sunday at the Etihad Stadium.

The Sky Blues have been unbeaten across all competitions since early December and are currently the only club to remain unbeaten at home in the Premier League this term. They haven't lost to West Ham since September 2015, and also won the Premier League title on the final day against them in 2014 after goals from Samir Nasri and Vincent Kompany secured a second title under Manuel Pellegrini's management.

Guardiola is bidding to win his sixth Premier League title this weekend. To date, he has won 16 trophies as manager at Etihad Stadium, including both UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup already this season.

The Blues could retain both their Premier League and Emirates FA Cup titles this month. They will face local rivals Manchester United at Wembley Stadium next weekend in what will be a repeat of last season’s FA Cup Final.

Guardiola arguably the greatest in Premier League

The conclusion of this campaign could mark the end of Guardiola’s penultimate season in east Manchester as he is currently contracted with the club until 2025. Since arriving from Bayern Munich in 2016, Guardiola has penned three contract extensions but it remains unknown whether he will extend his future beyond next season.

The upcoming campaign will mark his ninth season with Manchester City amid major management changes across Europe - most notably Jurgen Klopp leaving Liverpool. Speaking ahead of Sunday’s Premier League finale against West Ham, Pep Guardiola reaffirmed his plans to remain as Manchester City boss next season.

Pep Guardiola, Manchester City manager, said:

“Yeah, I have a contract. I want to be here next season, yes or yes,”

End of an era for David Moyes

Sunday’s fixture will also mark the end of David Moyes’ tenure at the London Stadium. The West Ham manager will be leaving the east London club at the end of this campaign and will be replaced by Julen Lopetegui.

While there are significant changes happening across European football management, Pep Guardiola remains committed to Manchester City for another season. As sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts anticipate this weekend's games, all eyes are on whether Manchester City can secure a victory over West Ham United and make Premier League history under Guardiola's leadership.
