M Plus will deliver live broadcasts of Premier League and FA Cup matches through its M Plus application

M Plus, a leading live sports streaming platform in Macau, has recently bolstered its soccer portfolio by securing exclusive rights to English soccer’s top-flight Premier League and the prestigious FA Cup knockout competition for the next three seasons. This agreement covers the upcoming 2025-26 season as well as the 2026-27 and 2027-28 campaigns.

As part of this deal, M Plus will provide live coverage of Premier League and FA Cup matches via its M Plus app. The coverage will feature commentary in both English and Cantonese languages. In addition to this, fans can look forward to supporting content such as highlights, news updates, and post-match analysis.

The deal for the FA Cup is not new territory for M Plus; it's a renewal that will commence with the third round continuing until the final match.

Collaboration with Macau cable television (MCTV)

To further expand its live sports offering in Macau, M Plus has partnered with long-standing collaborator Macau Cable Television (MCTV). As part of this collaboration, MCTV will carry four dedicated channels showcasing Premier League and FA Cup content.

In conjunction with these rights acquisitions announcements was another significant partnership revelation between MPlus and Macau Slot - a legal sports betting operator in the territory. Harry Lan, Chief Betting Officer at Macau Slot confirmed their collaboration on English soccer rights.

Extensive football rights portfolio

Founded in 2017,the streaming service already boasts an extensive soccer rights portfolio that includes Spain’s LaLiga Italy’s Serie A German Bundesliga & DFB-Pokal, Japan’s J.League & Australia’s A League. It also holds rights in Macau for North American basketball’s NBA.

In China, the streaming rights for the Premier League and FA Cup were previously held by iQiyi Sports from 2021-22 to 2024-25. However, Migu - a subsidiary of China Mobile has taken over these rights for the 2025-26 to 2027-28 cycle.

The new Premier League season is set to kick off on Friday (August 15) with champions Liverpool taking on Bournemouth in the opening game. This acquisition by M Plus will undoubtedly enhance its position as a leading sports streaming platform and provide an enriched viewing experience for soccer fans across Macau.
