TNT Sports is set to revolutionize its coverage of the 2025/26 football season with a host of new pundits, innovative broadcasting techniques and exciting partnerships. This comes as the network takes on the men’s and women’s FA Cup for the first time.
TNT Sports has announced an impressive lineup of new pundits joining its team. These include former Arsenal, Chelsea, Aston Villa and England defender Anita Asante; ex-Arsenal and England midfielder Fara Williams; former Arsenal, Manchester City and Scotland defender Jen Beattie for the women’s FA Cup. For UEFA competitions such as Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League, Gareth Bale and Michail Antonio have been added to their punditry team.
In addition to fresh faces in punditry, TNT Sports is introducing several broadcast innovations that promise a more immersive viewing experience. These include dressing room cameras (an extension of those used in some matchday broadcasts over previous seasons), half-time interviews with players/managers, as well as in-match interviews becoming a staple feature of live football coverage.
First time coverage
The upcoming season also marks TNT Sport's debut in broadcasting both men's and women's FA Cups. A minority of these games will also be shown by BBC (men’s) and Channel 4 (women’s). In collaboration with The Football Association (FA), they are working towards creating consistent "appointment to view" time slots for these competitions.
Scott Young, EVP WBD Sports Europe, said:
“This football season we are kicking off with more football than ever before with the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa Leage, UEFA Conference League and new this season the Emirates FA Cup and Adobe Women’s FA Cup all in one place, an extraordinary line up of trophies will be celebrated on TNT Sports.
“Our football coverage continues to evolve. We will continue to bring new storytellers, insight and angles to fans, with even more access across our Premier League and FA Cup coverage we are also delighted to be able to bring more dressing room, pitch and player content than ever before.”
To enrich this coverage further, there will be several documentaries telling stories from the history of the FA Cup. One such documentary is "The People’s Story: The FA Cup", a 90-minute film set to air ahead of January 2026's men’s FA Cup 3rd Round which will recount memorable moments from the competition's past.
Partnership with Talksport
TNT Sports' coverage will be promoted through a new partnership with Talksport. This collaboration will see TNT Sports presenters, pundits and commentators join Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent every Friday on Talksport’s Friday Night Live between 6-7pm. The first show, scheduled for Friday 15th, will also feature rugby pundit Ugo Monye.
In a move towards promoting gender equality in sports broadcasting, TNT Sports has become a corporate member of Women In Football. This initiative aims to raise awareness about opportunities for women in the sport.
TNT Sports is gearing up to offer an enhanced viewing experience for football fans worldwide. With its innovative broadcast techniques, fresh punditry talent and commitment towards promoting women in football, the network is set to redefine sports broadcasting standards.
