Additionally, Captain Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, and Max Dowman have also been sidelined due to injuries recently

Arsenal forward, Kai Havertz, is set for another spell on the sidelines due to a muscle injury. This setback could potentially see him miss up to four matches, including key fixtures against Brentford and north London rivals Tottenham.

The Germany attacker will be absent from Thursday's Premier League match at Brentford and is also expected to miss the FA Cup game against Wigan on Sunday. The injury further puts his participation in doubt for the much-anticipated clash with Tottenham on 22 February. Additionally, with Arsenal scheduled to play Wolves next week in the league, Havertz could be out of action for up to four games.

Havertz has had a challenging time dealing with injuries recently. He had only just recovered from a knee problem he picked up on the opening day of this season which sidelined him for about five months. Prior to that issue, he injured his hamstring during a training camp in Dubai in February 2025 and required surgery which saw him miss the end of last season.

Impact on Arsenal squad

This latest injury comes as a concern for Mikel Arteta as it adds more pressure onto an already depleted Gunners squad. The team boss is also without midfielder Mikel Merino who has undergone surgery due to a foot problem.

In addition, Captain Martin Odegaard along with England attacker Bukayo Saka and youngster Max Dowman have been missing through injuries in recent weeks.

The current injury situation at Arsenal is indeed a cause for concern, especially for sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts who closely follow the team's performance. The absence of key players like Havertz could significantly impact the team's performance in upcoming matches. However, it also provides an opportunity for other squad members to step up and make their mark.
