British boxing manager and promoter, Frank Warren, recently sparked laughter when he joked about football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo joining Premier League giants Arsenal. The humorous comment was made during a media interaction at the Day of Reckoning card in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on December 23.

Founder Queensberry Promotions, Frank Warren, said:

"He's [Cristiano] signing for Arsenal!"

Warren shared this light-hearted moment while sitting next to the Manchester United legend. His jest about a potential move back to the Premier League for Ronaldo was met with amusement from the footballer himself.

Ronaldo once revealed that MMA may be a good fit for him after revealing his love for combat sports

Ronaldo's presence at several UFC and boxing events since his move to the Middle East has been noteworthy. While some reports suggest that attending these events is part of his contract, it appears there might be more personal interest involved as well.

The former Real Madrid forward has previously expressed his fascination with these two sports. In 2020, he openly admitted his interest in both UFC and boxing.

Former Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, once said:

"Playing football is my passion, but I prefer watching other sports on TV. Between watching a football match or a boxing or UFC fight, I choose boxing or UFC. When I was at Manchester United, a coach boxed with me, I think practicing boxing is useful for football because it sharpens your senses and you learn to move."

Despite an underwhelming start to this season in the Saudi Pro League, Cristiano Ronaldo's team Al-Nassr currently holds second place in the Saudi Pro League standings. They trail by 10 points behind Al-Hilal but have an advantage of one game over their leading competitors.

While Warren’s comment may have been made in jest, it certainly adds a layer of intrigue for sports fans worldwide who follow both football and combat sports closely. Whether or not we see a return of Cristiano Ronaldo to Premier League remains uncertain; however, one thing is clear - his passion for sport extends beyond just football.
