Launched in 2012, ScreenHits TV will provide this platform through entertainment systems in select car brands

The FIFA+ over-the-top channel, initiated by the global soccer governing body three years ago, has announced a distribution partnership with streaming platform aggregator ScreenHits TV. This collaboration will see the integration of the FIFA+ free ad-supported streaming (FAST) channel into the in-car and streaming platform run by ScreenHits TV from October 1.

ScreenHits TV, which first launched in 2012, will make this platform available via entertainment systems in certain car brands. These include models designed by renowned carmakers such as Lincoln, Porsche, Ford, Renault, and Nio. The deal signifies the rapid growth of ScreenHits TV as a leading out-of-home Smart TV solution in the automotive sector. It also simplifies access for customers to their favourite content on-the-go. FIFA+ is set to be one of the foremost trio of sports-based channels available via ScreenHits TV.

Rose Hulse, ScreenHits TV's founder and chief executive, said:

"FIFA+ is an incredible brand and we are happy to bring it to customers who want to watch sports. This collaboration with FIFA+ is a game-changer for fans on the move.”

About FIFA+

Launched in April 2022, FIFA+ was designed as a platform to offer fans live games from soccer competitions and tournaments worldwide. In addition to live matches, it provides access to archive highlights from previous FIFA World Cups along with full-game replays and feature-length programming. In April this year, an expansion was seen between FIFA and Infront sports marketing agency that led Infront Productions arm providing satellite downlinking services for over 300 matches on FIFA+. This included multi-lingual commentary services and SRT (secure reliable transport) distribution for these games.

The expanded collaboration includes coverage for various events like qualification matches for the 2026 World Cup along with age-grade tournaments and global competitions such as Futsal and Beach Soccer among others. Earlier this year in February UAE-based media company Evision partnered with FIFA+. Evision is a subsidiary of e& telecoms heavyweight and it hosted FIFA+ as a FAST channel on its Starz On service.

The partnership between FIFA+ and ScreenHits TV is a significant step in the evolution of sports broadcasting. It not only highlights the rapid growth of ScreenHits TV but also provides an innovative solution for sports fans to access their favourite content while on-the-go. This move will undoubtedly enhance the viewing experience for soccer fans worldwide, making it easier than ever to stay connected with global soccer events.
