DAZN now has channels exclusive for Women's sport and for free

DAZN has launched two global FAST channels named DAZN Women’s Football and DAZN Combat, which are available for free for the viewers.

The UK streaming company recently launched DAZN Rise in Germany and Austria. DAZN Rise offers a complete dedication to Women’s sports. DAZN’s recent approach to Women’s sport has also seen them air the Women’s UEFA Champions League for free, on YouTube. This resulted in a massive influx of numbers and now with Combat and Women’s Football, DAZN is likely to expect the same.

DAZN Women’s Football started coverage of live football with the fixture between Chelsea FC Women and FC Barcelona WUCL semi-fina being the debut match for DAZN Women’s Football. Apart from live coverage of the WUCL and Liga F, Women’s Football will also air documentaries. Equals, one of the documentaries will allow the viewers to go one-on-one with some of their favorite stars.

The Game that Changed Football, is a movie that is based on the historic WUCL fixture between Barcelona and Real Madrid Women in a sold-out Spotify Camp Nou in March 2022. This channel is global but will not be available in MENA, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau.

DAZN Combat, which covers Boxing and MMA, will not be available in the United States, Canada, Baltics, Crimea, Iran, Syria, North Korea, and Syria. The channel will feature live events, documentaries, highlights, and archive fights.

LG will carry the channel in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Netherlands, France, Australia, and the Nordics. Samsung TV Plus will be carrying DAZN’s Women’s Football in Australia and New Zealand. In Australia, Brazil, and Mexico, VIDAA will carry the two channels with more partners likely to be added.

Veronica Diquattro, CEO of global markets at DAZN said:

“DAZN is the home of women’s football, boxing and fight sports globally. We are committed to increasing the global presence of these sports in markets across the world and the channels will help even more sports fans have greater access to top-tier sports rights across the globe. We already have an impressive rights portfolio of global rights properties in non-core markets and the global FAST channels highlight our commitment to provide frictionless, anytime, anywhere sports entertainment to passionate fans.”

Samsung TV Plus has also expressed its delight in partnering with DAZN to launch Women’s Football in Australia, Brazil, and Mexico while LG Electronics Home Entertainment Company expects an increase in the number of LG TV customers in Europe to access DAZN’s new channels.
