Given his lifelong passion for rhythm and melody, the 2002 World Cup winner views this transition into the music industry as a natural progression

Brazilian football legend, Ronaldinho, renowned for his samba-inspired flair on the pitch, is now set to bring that rhythm into the music industry. The former Barcelona and AC Milan star has announced the launch of a new music label, Tu Musica. The label's flagship project? A World Cup-inspired album.

Ronaldinho is widely recognized as one of football's most creative players. Now he aims to translate that creativity into the music business with his Miami-based label, Tu Musica. According to Billboard reports, this venture seeks to bridge cultural and market gaps by providing a professional platform for global music creation and distribution.

The 2002 World Cup winner sees this move as a natural progression given his lifelong passion for rhythm and melody. "Music has always been a big part of my life... Now I want to take that energy everywhere - connecting cultures and creating opportunities for artists from anywhere," Ronaldinho stated in an official release.

Global musical celebration

Tu Musica's inaugural project will be an album inspired by the 2026 World Cup fever set from June 11 through July 19. With billions expected to tune in globally, this event serves as an ideal springboard for launching their brand.

Starting April 6th week onwards, songwriters and artists worldwide are invited to submit their work potentially featured on this monumental release—an initiative reflecting Ronaldinho’s open-access playing style during his peak years at Camp Nou.

Initially focusing on Latin America due its massive cultural influence on modern music scene; plans are already underway expanding operations into Europe, Africa, Asia & Middle East regions.

Heavy hitters behind the scenes

While Ronaldinho provides star power & vision; he is backed by industry veterans ensuring venture success. Co-founders include Roni Maltz Bin, CEO of Sua Musica Group; Allan Jesus, CEO of ASJ; and Roberto de Assis, Ronaldinho’s brother and long-time manager.

This partnership combines significant expertise in distribution, marketing & talent management. As per an official press release, the legendary Brazilian is taking “another step in his journey beyond [soccer], expanding his presence in the entertainment industry,” leveraging Sua Musica Group’s infrastructure and branding power provided by ASJ.

Ronaldinho's transition from football to music is a testament to his creative spirit. His new venture promises not only to bring fresh sounds but also unite cultures through music - a goal as ambitious as any he pursued on the football pitch.
