Leicester City vs Spartak Moscow
Spartak have had an equally tough start to their league campaign. Having finished second last season, they are currently languishing in ninth and are already eleven points adrift of leaders Zenit. This competition may represent their best chance at silverware this season. As they travel to England they can take inspiration from the 3-2 win they achieved away against Napoli, who are currently top of Serie A and one of a small number of European clubs still unbeaten in their domestic league. Leicester won the previous game between these two sides 4-3 in Moscow so we could be in for another goal fest tonight. Spartak are likely to play with a little more abandon than usual as they are currently bottom of the group and need another win if they hope to sneak into those top two places and advance to the next round. With both teams conceding a fair few goals this season and more than capable of scoring at the other end, we are almost certainly in for a repeat of the excitement from their previous encounter.
Alexander Sobolev has scored two goals in three Europa League games this season and is definitely the one to watch from Spartak's side, while Patson Daka netted all four goals in the seven goal thriller in Moscow and will surely be looking to add to his tally tonight as the Zambian looks more at home with every Leicester game he plays.
Leicester have been greatly improved since the return of Jonny Evans and they might be about to welcome back another key player tonight in Wilfred Ndidi. The Nigerian was fit enough to make the bench against Arsenal and could be in line for a first start in over a month. Ricardo Pereira is nursing a hamstring issue and is doubtful for The Foxes, while Jamie Vardy is likely to be rested in favour of Daka. Georgi Melkadze and Pavel Maslov are set to miss the trip for Spartak but apart from that coach Rui Vitoria will have a full squad at his disposal.
