Group E may not be deemed this season's Champions League Group of Death but it sure is a difficult one for Dynamo Kiev to navigate. Despite Barcelona's problems, it's still not ideal to know that finishing above the Catalans is your only real hope of claiming third place and snatching a Europa League spot. Dynamo have predictably struggled so far in Europe this season but deserve immense credit for grinding out a 0-0 draw with Benfica in their first game. Then came a 5-0 drumming from Bayern before Barcelona crept past them 1-0. The Ukrainian league leaders might just see this reverse fixture against the fallen giants as their chance to pull off an historic upset. At the Camp Nou, Barcelona hardly looked terrifying, and a long way away from home they will need to show character to take away all three points. Dynamo may be targeting this as their only chance to secure a famous in this group.

After sacking Ronald Koeman in the wake of their embarrassing 1-0 defeat to Rayo Vallecano, Barcelona slumped to a 1-1 draw at home to relegation strugglers Alaves. As interim head coach Sergi Barjuan tries to limit the damage, this is the last game his side would have wanted. A trip east to a freezing Ukraine to play a Dynamo side which has already shown its defensive chops by restricting Barca and Benfica to only one goal across 180 minutes has all the hallmarks of being their next tragedy. The main problem for Dynamo is that among the many injuries they are carrying are attacking players Artem Besedin, Vladyslav Kulach, Ibrahim Kargbo and Vladyslav Supryaga. They are still looking for their first Champions League goal this campaign and without their shining lights up top they will find it difficult to get one. Barcelona are missing Martin Braithwaite, Pedri and Sergi Roberto, among others, as they look to build on the one solitary goal they have managed themselves in three group games.

While it's difficult to suggest in good conscience that Dynamo are favourites here, they are certainly not far off it. They are strong and stable. Barca are in disarray and missing some key players. The writing could be on the wall and while a narrow away win is probably the best bet, a goalless draw or a famous 1-0 home win would not shock the world.
