Wrexham have a insane fan-following in US despite their low club stature

For the first time in the 2023/2024 season, sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts will be able to stream a Wrexham league match on ESPN+. The streaming service currently holds exclusive broadcasting rights to EFL games in the United States.

Despite being a relatively smaller club, Wrexham has been growing in popularity due to its exposure on the FX show "Welcome to Wrexham". This hit docuseries follows the club's journey since Hollywood duo Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney purchased it back in 2020.

Under their leadership, Wrexham has managed impressive feats such as winning the fifth-tiered National League and earning promotion to League Two. This achievement is particularly noteworthy considering that the club had not featured in EFL since 2007/08 season.

Upcoming match holds big value for Wrexham's aspirations

The upcoming Wrexham fixture promises an exciting match. Set against Mansfield Town, who are currently leading League Two, this game could be pivotal for both teams' title race. Despite a slow start from both sides at the beginning of this season, they have shown remarkable progress with Mansfield reaching top spot and Wrexham moving up to third place.

The matchup is scheduled for Friday, March 29th at 11AM (ET). The teams started slow but have picked up momentum. They are separated by just five points in the standings. If Red Dragons win, they can close the gap even further.

The top three teams at end of season will earn automatic promotion to League One. A fourth team can also advance through playoffs making every point crucial as we head into final stages of league play.

Welcome To Wrexham: Season Three also on the way

In addition to the upcoming game, fans can look forward to the third season of "Welcome to Wrexham". Set to debut on FX and Hulu on Thursday, April 18th, this season will follow the club’s highly successful 2022/23 campaign.

Although it is set for an unusual broadcast time compared to its first two seasons, fans will have the opportunity to watch while their team fights for another promotion. The third season comprises eight episodes.

Whether you're a sports fan or a sports betting enthusiast, there's plenty of action coming your way with Wrexham's return on ESPN+ and the new season of "Welcome To Wrexham".
