Monzo have joined as Talksport's launch partner, sponsoring their Live Transfer Deadline Day show

Talksport, a leading sports radio station, has recently announced the launch of its 24/7 Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV (FAST) channel and smart TV app. This move comes in the wake of the company's successful YouTube offering that garners an impressive 150 million monthly views.

The company's decision to expand into television is a strategic move aimed at leveraging its existing popularity on YouTube. The new channel will be accessible as an app on various platforms including FireTV, Apple TV, Google TV and as a FAST channel on LG Channels plus from early February. Additionally, it will also be available on Samsung TV Plus with more partners expected to join in due course.

Original programming line-up

Talksport is launching this new venture with a slate of original programming designed specifically for sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts. The line-up includes club-specific shows such as 'Inside Devils', 'Inside Gooners' and 'Inside Chelsea'. These shows aim to provide viewers with exclusive insights into their favourite football clubs.

In addition to these club-centric shows, Talksport is also introducing 'The Kick Back', a weekly women’s football programme scheduled ahead of the Women’s Euros this summer. Another noteworthy addition is 'Final Whistle', which will report final scores each weekend as they come in.

Liam Fisher, head of Talksport, said,

“Talksport is already a huge hit on YouTube - attracting over 150m views of its brilliantly visualised content every month. These partnerships with the leading smart TV operators in the UK open the door to new audiences and ensure fans can experience the very best in sports content like never before. Our peerless line-up - including Alan Brazil, Ally McCoist, Jeff Stelling, Simon Jordan, Jim White, Lianne Sanderson, Andy Goldstein, Darren Bent and Shebahn Aherne - will be available on the big screen in high definition. You have been warned!”

These shows will not only be available through the newly launched channel but also via YouTube and radio broadcasts.

Partnership with Monzo

Monzo has been announced as one of Talksport's launch partners for this venture. They are sponsoring the Live Transfer Deadline Day show featuring Jim White set for Monday 3rd February.

Existing popular shows such as Breakfast with Jeff Stelling; Ally McCoist; Alan Brazil; Shebahn Aherne; Jim White and Simon Jordan; Drive with Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent are also set to be featured on the new channel.

Talksport's move into television with its 24/7 FAST channel and smart TV app is a significant step in expanding its reach. With a diverse range of original programming and strategic partnerships, the company is poised to offer an engaging and informative platform for sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts alike.
