NOS will continue airing Eredivisie highlights, with KPN also securing online rights

The Dutch football league, Eredivisie, has recently extended its highlights partnership with NOS and struck a new deal with telecom operator KPN. This move ensures that the league's highlights will be available on both platforms through the 2026-27 season.

NOS, the public-service broadcaster in the Netherlands, has successfully extended its highlights tie-up with Dutch men's soccer’s top-tier Eredivisie. The deal was facilitated by the Eredivisie Media and Marketing arm.

This extension means that Eredivisie highlights will continue to be available through NOS until the end of 2026-27 season. This represents a two-campaign extension from their previous agreement which was set to run through the ongoing 2024-25 season.

Availability across platforms

The availability of these highlights is not limited to linear TV but extends online as well. Moreover, this comprehensive deal also includes coverage from Women’s Eredivisie games. NOS currently provides these highlight reels via its show - 'NOS Studio Sport Eredivisie'. The show airs every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday featuring summaries and reviews of every game played during those days.

Apart from this recent extension with Eredivise, Geert Hofman (Business Director at NOS) confirmed that they will cover other significant soccer events as well. These include two editions of men's FIFA World Cup national teams tournament in 2026 & 2030 along with broadcasting rights for 25 FIFA Women’s World Cup matches held in 2023.

Geert Hofman, Business director at NOS, said:

“Eredivisie football at NOS brings millions of people together every week and has become part of Dutch culture. We see it as our public duty to keep the summaries of the most important Dutch football competition public and accessible to everyone.”

New deal with telecom operator KPN

In addition to extending their partnership with NOS, Dutch men's soccer’s top-tier league also struck a new deal with telecom operator KPN. This deal grants KPN online highlights rights for the Eredivisie from 2025-26 through 2029-30.

KPN users will not only have access to game highlights but also real-time goal alerts and clips immediately after they are scored. These highlights will be available right after each game via KPN TV+ and the MijnKPN mobile app, enhancing the user experience for sports fans. While NOS and KPN have secured deals for highlight reels, live Eredivisie domestic coverage rights remain with ESPN. The heavyweight sports broadcaster extended its contract with the soccer league last February, ensuring their coverage continues until 2030.

These multi-year deals between Eredivisie, NOS, and KPN ensure that Dutch soccer fans won't miss a moment of action from their favorite league. Whether it's live games on ESPN or highlight reels on NOS and KPN platforms - there's something for every fan to enjoy.
