Global sports technology company, Stats Perform, has recently been awarded exclusive betting live streaming rights for select English Football League (EFL) matches. This partnership marks a significant milestone in the sports betting industry.

The agreement with the EFL, which organizes the second, third and fourth tiers of England's men's football league pyramid, commenced with the 2024-25 season that kicked off on August 9. Under this deal, Stats Perform has gained exclusive rights to distribute a package of live audiovisual streams for selected EFL matches to licensed sportsbooks outside of the UK (excluding the US), through its Bet LiveStreams service.

This package is considered "the highest tier of English football available for betting streaming". It includes high-profile competitions such as Carabao Cup, Championship, League One, League Two, and Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

Leveraging advanced technology

The partnership will leverage Stats Perform’s cutting-edge live-streaming technology and Opta data. This includes advanced features like AI-powered Instant Highlights and Opta Smart Stats Overlays. These features are designed to enhance viewer experience by providing real-time statistics and highlights during games.

Ben Wright, chief commercial officer at the EFL, said:

“We are delighted to partner with Stats Perform, a highly trusted global leader in sports AI and technology and the pioneer in live streaming for betting. We look forward to working closely together to deliver an exciting and innovative product.”

Expanding Portfolio

With this agreement, EFL joins an impressive list of major football competitions in Bet LiveStreams' offering including Spain’s La Liga and Italy’s Serie A matches. However, it's not just football that is benefiting from this innovative approach to sports viewing. Stats Perform recently secured a four-year betting data rights deal with the International Cricket Council (ICC). Other properties in its extensive betting portfolio include WTA tennis as well as FIBA and NBL basketball leagues.

This expansion signifies how rapidly evolving technologies are reshaping traditional ways we consume sport content while also creating new opportunities within sports betting markets globally.

This partnership between Stats Perform and EFL is set to revolutionize the sports betting industry by providing fans with an immersive, data-rich viewing experience. It also underscores the growing importance of technology in enhancing sports viewership and engagement.
