Sport 24, the in-flight and on-ship entertainment service owned by international sports agency IMG, has secured exclusive rights to cover the upcoming UEFA Women's European Championships national team soccer tournament. This move extends their coverage rights from the previous Women's Euro held in England in 2022.
The forthcoming edition of the UEFA Women's European Championships is set to take place in Switzerland between July 2 and July 27, featuring a total of sixteen teams. This follows on from Sport 24’s coverage of both the previous women’s Euros held in England (which was won by the hosts) and last year’s men’s Euros hosted by Germany.
The deal will see Sport 24 extend its reach across a wide range of airlines and cruise lines that offer it as an entertainment option. These include prominent names such as Etihad Airways, Emirates, Turkish Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific; along with Carnival Group, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line and Fred Olsen.
Other live sports coverage
In addition to football tournaments like the UEFA Women's Euro and FIFA World Cup (which was added to its rights stable earlier this year), Sport 24 also plans to broadcast other major sporting events over the coming months. These include - Tennis' Wimbledon grand slam from London, Golf's The Open, and Motor racing's iconic Formula One.
All these events are produced from IMG studio facilities located near London. As part of its strategy for broadening access to live sports content around the world through partnerships with various broadcasters covering different regions. Earlier this month Indian streaming service FanCode was unveiled as a partner for broadcasting upcoming Women's Euro matches. Furthermore last week it was announced that French commercial network TF1 had agreed to sub-license 12 games from the competition to public-service broadcaster France Télévisions.
Sport 24's acquisition of exclusive rights for UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 coverage is a significant step in its commitment to providing high-quality sports content. This move not only enhances its portfolio but also ensures that sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts around the world can enjoy live coverage of major sporting events, whether they are on land or at sea.
