For the 2025/26 season, Sky Sports is launching a pre-game programme for all Sunday 12pm kickoffs

Sky Sports has announced a significant expansion of its Women's Super League (WSL) coverage, introducing a "multiview" programme and launching a dedicated YouTube channel for the upcoming season. The move comes as part of the broadcaster's five-year rights deal signed last year, which allows it to air 118 games per season from the competition.

Former Aston Villa and Scotland player Rachel Corsie will join Izzy Christiansen on the punditry team. They will be presenting from a new studio alongside presenter Caroline Barker. Social reporters Rhyanna Parara and Alex Bailess are also joining the team to cover latest news from social media platforms. Ellen Ellard is set to become the new lead commentator on Sky Sports’ WSL coverage.

Enhanced matchday experience with multiview programme

For the 2025/26 season, Sky Sports is introducing an innovative programme designed to build up anticipation for all Sunday 12pm kickoffs. Starting at 11am, this hour-long pre-match show will feature latest news updates, team updates from every ground, and player-focused content.

This will be followed by Sky Sports' separate Multiview programme that moves between different grounds covering all goals and big moments in real-time, complete with one dedicated commentary team and half-time analysis.

The first Multiview programme is scheduled for September 7th featuring matches between Liverpool v Everton, Brighton & Hove Albion v Aston Villa, Manchester United v Leicester City, and Tottenham v West Ham. A similar format is planned for Premier League coverage later in the season.

Expanding digital footprint

In a bid to boost digital engagement alongside TV broadcasts, Sky Sports is launching a dedicated WSL YouTube channel. This innovative platform will serve as a hub for sports enthusiasts, offering match highlights of every goal, live streams of selected matches, exclusive interviews with key personalities and content that showcases the biggest stars from across the league.

This content will also be available on the Sky Sports app, which will feature match centres with free scores and stats, as well as live streams for subscribers. The WSL’s own YouTube channel, run by Little Dot, will continue to operate alongside. In addition to these enhancements, Jordan Nobbs and Nikita Parris’ popular podcast 'From Pitch To Pod' is set to return to cover the WSL season. This move further solidifies Sky Sports' commitment towards providing comprehensive coverage for sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts alike.

With these new initiatives in place, Sky Sports is set to revolutionize how fans engage with WSL content - whether they're tuning in from their living room or catching up on-the-go via digital platforms.
