Arsenal, Chelsea, and Man Utd are looking to sign Luca Netz

Premier League powerhouses Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly keeping tabs on 20-year-old Borussia Monchengladbach full-back Luca Netz. The young defender has been identified as a potential superstar since his youth and has recently attracted attention from several top clubs.

Born in Berlin, Netz emerged through the ranks at Hertha Berlin but struggled to secure a lasting place in the club's lineup. His journey took him to Borussia Monchengladbach where he was acquired for less than £2m. However, his first season at Borussia-Park proved challenging with limited playing time.

Despite an increase in league appearances, he frequently served as a substitute and played less than 700 minutes in the following season. This season has seen a significant turnaround for Netz who started 19 matches and made two substitute appearances in the Bundesliga. During this time he contributed three assists which have not gone unnoticed by top clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, Man United and Newcastle United.

West Ham United also scouted him earlier this season adding further fuel to speculation about his future prospects.

United and Chelsea desperately need a good attacking left-back

The Red Devils have faced several defensive challenges this term due to injuries affecting both of their left-backs for most of the campaign. This makes them potential suitors for Netz who could provide much-needed depth.

Arsenal is another club that could benefit from securing Netz's services next season as Oleksandr Zinchenko is currently their only specialist left-back available despite impressing under Mikel Arteta's management.

Chelsea too might be looking towards strengthening their defense after Marc Cucurella failed to meet expectations despite being acquired from Brighton & Hove Albion for a significant sum. Netz could potentially fit the bill as his replacement, providing ideal competition for Ben Chilwell.

Bayern Munich are also keeping close eye on situation

Bayern Munich, who are anticipating the departure of Alphonso Davies at the end of the current season, could also be in the market for a replacement and might be tempted by attracting Germany Under-21 defender Netz.

Borussia Monchengladbach currently sit 12th in the Bundesliga standings with 26 points after 24 games. It remains to be seen whether they will manage to retain their young star amid interest from some of Europe's top clubs.
