NBCUniversal streaming service gets upgrade with new feature for EPL matches

Peacock has added a new in-game feature called Premier League Data Zone, enabling viewers to keep up to speed with live data and statistical analysis during select EPL matches.

The new feature debuted on NBCUniversal’s streaming service for Sunday’s showdown between Liverpool and Arsenal, which finished 2-2 following a bizarre incident involving Reds left-back Andy Robertson and linesman Constantine Hatzidakis.

Premier League Data Zone provides live augmented graphics showing data from player tracking systems. On top of that, viewers can enjoy up-to-the-second statistics for possession, distance covered, sprints and other metrics.

Which upcoming matches will Premier League Data Zone be available for?

Premier League Data Zone went live for the recent Liverpool vs Arsenal clash. As it stands, the feature will be available for three more EPL matches in April.

Here are the upcoming Premier League Data Zone matches on the Peacock and NBC schedule:

  • Manchester City vs Arsenal – Wednesday, April 26 (Peacock)
  • Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United – Thursday, April 27 (Peacock)
  • Arsenal vs Chelsea – Saturday, April 29 (NBC and Peacock)

As you can see, Premier League Data Zone will be available for three high-profile clashes later this month. Manchester City vs Arsenal could prove to be a title decider, while Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United will be pivotal in the top-four race.

What’s next for Peacock’s Premier League coverage?

In addition to Premier League Data Zone, Peacock is set to offer 4K streams for select EPL matches later this year. Plus, the streaming service has plans for 5.1 audio in the near future.

Peacock is currently available for $4.99/month, with soccer fans also able to enjoy the 24/7 Premier League channel along with thousands of movies, television shows and more.
