Liverpool came from two goals down to rescue a dramatic draw against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon, with Roberto Firmino coming off the bench to score a late equaliser in front of a fiery Anfield crowd.

However, a bizarre half-time incident involving Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson and linesman Constantine Hatzidakis will inevitably grab the headlines.

Robertson confronted Hatzidakis at the end of the first half and appeared to make contact with him, which promoted the official to raise an elbow towards Robertson’s face.

The Scotland international was visibly furious and immediately complained to referee Paul Tierney, only to receive a yellow card for his part in the altercation.

Roy Keane was part of the Sky Sports punditry team for the match, alongside fellow pundit Micah Richards and host David Jones. Unsurprisingly, the former Manchester United hardman had his say on the incident.

Speaking during the half-time analysis, Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane said:

“Robertson’s complaining – he should be more worried about his defending. Do you know what he is? I’ve watched him a number of times, he is a big baby, that’s what that guy is. Just get on with the game and concentrate on your defending.”

Following a frenetic start, Gabriel Martinelli put Arsenal ahead after eight minutes before Gabriel Jesus doubled the visitors’ lead midway through the first half.

Mohamed Salah then equalised before missing a penalty after the break, with substitute Robert Firmino converting Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross to earn Liverpool a point late on.

In addition to his remarks on Robertson, Keane did not hold back when assessing Liverpool’s first-half defensive performance, stating:

“You’ve got to do better than that. Liverpool’s defending, do you know what? Their defending is like a pub team. They’re all over the place, and they are a mess.”

Following Manchester City’s 4-1 victory over Southampton, Arsenal’s lead at the Premier League summit now stands at six points, while Pep Guardiola’s side have a game in hand.

Meanwhile, Liverpool find themselves eighth in the table – 12 points outside the top four and 29 points behind the title-chasing Gunners.

It is worth noting that refereeing body PGMOL will investigate the incident between Robertson and Hatzidakis.
