Digital sports broadcaster DAZN is partnering with online streaming platform Pluto TV to inaugurate four Free Ad-Supported Television (FAST) channels dedicated to sports in Germany.
The launch of these new channels commenced on the 10th of August, 2023, starting off with DAZN International Football X Pluto TV and DAZN Darts X Pluto TV. By the end of the month, the broadcasting duo intends to introduce two additional platforms: DAZN Fights X Pluto TV and DAZN Heldinnen X Pluto TV.
These innovative ad-supported channels are solely available on Pluto TV and will be airing selected content spanning across live sports events drawn from exclusive subscription-based offerings by DAZN.
DAZN International Football X Pluto TV aims to offer comprehensive coverage specifically for soccer enthusiasts who follow leagues such as Spain's La Liga, Italy’s Serie A and France's Ligue 1. Fans can expect screening every weekend where one match chosen from these three leagues would make it live exclusively on free television supplemented by recorded full-length matches, plus feature shows focused on international football and relatable documentaries.
Fans of darts can also tune into DAZN Darts X Pluto TV. This particular communication avenue concentrates its effort towards making Professional Dart Corporation (PDC) championship tournaments accessible freely through this platform, which includes both regular live broadcasts as well as highlight reels encapsulating those unforgettable moments during matches.
On top of that, MMA fans can enjoy DAZN Fights X Pluto TV, catering largely towards showcasing UFC's European events besides boxing matches, complying strictly with age-related regulations.
Last but not least, DAZN Heldinnen X Pluto T covers women's sporting activities, involving heightened focus towards competitive leagues including the UEFA Women’s Champions League and Women’s Bundesliga. This channel will also feature sports such as golf and handball.
